Go-India Smart Card scheme

Sub:  Go-India   Smart   Card   scheme.

At present, only non-concessional tickets can be booked through  Go-India Smart Card. Further,  Tatkal  booking  and Advance  Reservation   Period  (ARP)  booking  are also not permitted  during  the first two hours  of opening  of reservation  against  Go-India  Smart Card.

With   a view  to  encourage   usage  of  Go-India   Smart   Card,  the  matter  has  been re-considered   and it has  now been decided  to modify  and substitute  Para  1.9 and Para  1.12 as under:-

Para   1.9 All concessional   bookings shall be allowed through Go-India smart card except military   warrants/   vouchers   and passes.   However,   in such cases, Go-India   smart card holders  shall not get the discount  of 5% on purchase  of the UTS-ATVM   tickets.

Para   1.12 Tatkal and opening day ARP booking shall be allowed against Go-India Smart Card subject to limitation of one transaction per day.

This issues with the concurrence   of the Accounts   and Finance Directorates   of the Ministry of Railways.
