Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state :-
(a) whether the Ministry has launched “Project Saksham”, a training programme for all railway employees;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the efforts made to raise efficiency and boost productivity in Railways; and
(d)whether employees will be sensitized about safe rail service and to cater to growing expectations of passengers and to provide better amenities and services, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) Yes, Sir. Ministry of Railways has launched PROJECT SAKSHAM from 01.01.2018, for capacity building and up-skilling of Railway employees.
The training programmes are aimed at improving efficiency, boosting productivity and overall performance of Indian Railways. This is a 5-days on the job training or classroom training project for all the employees of Indian Railways. It has been planned to impart training as per a structured training calendar. This will help in increasing their efficiency including safety and customer satisfaction depending upon their area of work.
