Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat 2018

“Swachhta Hi Sewa – Pakhwara” Cleanliness Campaign to be organized from 15th September to 02nd October, 2018 on Railways NGO’s, Charitable Organizations, Schools etc., to associate in the campaign

South Central Railway will undertake “Swachhta Hi Sewa – Pakhwara” cleanliness campaign on its network comprising of six divisions – Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded from 15th September to 02nd October, 2018. The fortnight long cleanliness drive being held all over Indian Railways is meant to make a visible difference to the cleanliness standards of Railway stations and trains.

Keeping the significance of the event, which is basically connected to Swachh Rail – Swachh Bharat campaign of the Ministry of Railways and Government of India, NGOs/Charitable Institutions/Schools etc., are also requested to associate in the program, by approaching the respective Station Managers.

The programs planned during the fortnight include awareness on maintaining cleanliness, cleanliness dialogue with public and in-house, clean stations campaign, clean trains campaign, clean workplace campaign, clean residential premises campaign, clean food campaign, clean water campaign, clean toilets campaign, community day and a Swachh competition. Special emphasis is being laid on cleanliness of approaches to railway stations, involvement and cooperation of various stake holders including NGOs, charitable organizations, schools, railway staff and their families and other general public towards physical contribution in the cleanliness drive and to create awareness on cleanliness.
