LADIES, DIVYANGJANS & SENIOR CITIZENS DEDICATED TICKET BOOKING COUNTER

WESTERN RAILWAY INTRODUCED SPECIAL & DEDICATED TICKET WINDOWS FOR LADIES, DIVYANGJANS & SENIOR CITIZENS

In a bid to provide ease to ladies, Divyangjans & senior citizens at booking counters, W.Rly has started operating 13 special ticket windows at 11 stations w.e.f. 15th September 2018 on a trial basis for a period of 6 months. Similarly, to promote digital ticketing modes, passengers willing to make payments through POS & UPI payment mode will be permitted to book tickets through separate queue alongwith 1st class passengers, across all UTS counters of Mumbai Division.

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, W.Rly has earmarked 13 ticket booking windows for ladies, senior citizens, blind & Divyangjans at 11 major stations of Mumbai Division viz. Churchgate, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon, Malad, Borivali, Vasai Rd & Surat. Also, exclusive 25 counters for season tickets issue have been started at Churchgate, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Mahim, Bandra, Khar, Santacruz, Vile Parle, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Mira Road, Bhayandar, Vasai Road, Nalasopara & Virar.Passengers purchasing tickets by making digital modes viz. POS, UPI are now permitted to purchase tickets through separate queue combined with 1st class passengers, across all UTS counters. This facility is also extended to passengers approaching for ATVM smart card recharges as well as for purchase of smart cards from nominated counters.

It is pertinent to mention that senior citizens (with valid ID card), pregnant ladies in advance stage of pregnancy, blind & Divyangjan passengers have now been permitted to purchase tickets in combined queue with 1st class passengers across all UTS counters of W.Rly’s Mumbai Division.
