Current status of new railway line between Indore and Dahod

Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state :-
(a) the current status of the ongoing construction work of new railway line between Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Dahod in Gujarat;
(b) the time by when the above said work will be completed; and
(c) the reasons for delay in completion of above said railway line?

(a) to (c): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House.
STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (c) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 596 BY SHRI NARANBHAI J. RATHWA ANSWERED IN RAJYA SABHA ON 14.12.2018 REGARDING CURRENT STATUS OF NEW RAILWAY LINE BETWEEN INDORE AND DAHOD
(a) to (c): Dahod–Indore via Sardarpur-Jahbua & Dhar (200.97 km) including material modification for change of alignment Amjhera (4.82 km) new line project has been included in the Budget 2007-08. The latest anticipated cost of the project is Rs.1640.40 crore. An expenditure of ` 448.42 crore has been incurred upto 31.03.2018 and an outlay of Rs.120.00 crore has been provided for this project for the year 2018-19. The project has been taken up. The section-wise present status of the project is as under:
(i) Indore-Rau-Tihi (21.00 Km.): Commissioned.
(ii) Tihi-Dhar (45.53 Km.) and Jhabua-Pitol (13.92 km.) & Katwara-Dahod (11.32 Km.): Works have been taken up and different stages of execution.
(iii) Dhar-Jhabua (104 km.): Section passes through Ghat section & comprises of approx. 13.56 Kms long Tunnels and 3 Kms long viaducts. Land acquisition has been taken up and is in different stages.
(iv) Pitol-Katwara (11.96 km.): Land acquisition has been taken up and is in different stages.
(v) Katwara-Dahod (10.68 km.): Work taken up.
Project suffered in the past till 2013-14 on account of insufficient funds allotment. From 2014-15 onwards, the project is getting enhanced fund allotment and work is speeded up. As per requirement, adequate funds are being made available to the project for its early completion.
