Railway Protection Force (RPF) Band Competitions-2019

SCR wins All India RPF Band Competitions-2019

Railway Protection Force(RPF) Band team of South Central Railway gave a tough competition to previous winner Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), New Delhi team and won the All India RPF Band competition-2019 held at RPF Training Centre, Moula-Ali, Hyderabad, SCR. RPSF team which was winner last year, stood second this year and Eastern Railway team stood third.

The 9th All India RPF Band Competition was held from 10th to 12th June, 2019. Total 188 Band staff from 13 Zones of RPF Band teams including the host team South Central Railway, Railway Protection Special Force, Central Railway, Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, Integral Coach Factory, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, Northern Railway, North Western Railway, South East Central Railway, South Eastern Railway and West Central Railway participated in the competition. The competitive team events i.e., 1) Quick March, 2) Slow March & 3) Overture were organized, along with Bugle Calls event which was conducted for individuals.

In Bugle calls event, Shri N.P.Mondal, Head Constable/Eastern Railway stood 1st, Shri B.B.Sonar, Constable/1st BN/Lumbding/RPSF stood 2nd and Shri K.B.Gurung, Head constable/N.E.Railway stood 3rd.

During the competition, best performing staff were selected for All India RPF team and they will be representing RPF in the All India Police Band Competition-2019.

Shri A.N.Sinha, IG-Director, Railway Protection Force Training Centre, Moula-Ali, Hyderabad, South Central Railway, Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony. While addressing the closing ceremony, he conveyed thanks to all the participants of 13 Railway Zones for participating in this event with true sportsman spirit and enthusiasm and for maintaining highest standard of discipline during the event. He exhorted the bandsmen selected for All India RPF team to perform excellently in next All India Police Duty Meet. He distributed the Trophies along with certificates to winning teams.

The closing ceremony was also witnessed by Shri Ramesh Chandra, DIG-Chief Security Commissioner/South Central Railway and other Officers and staff of RPF from Zonal Head Quarter, Secunderabad Division, Hyderabad Division and 7th BN/RPSF/Moula-Ali.
